Specialist Autism Teacher-Non-Classroom based - Hammersmith- Immediate /January start!

A SEN specialist Autism Teacher is required at an outstanding mainstream school in Hammersmith & Fulham. This role could be well suited to an experienced fully qualified SEN Teacher who has a specialism in Autism. This is a non-Teaching based position where you will be supporting and training Class Teachers and Learning Support Assistants on how to effectively support, plan for and teach their challenging students who have moderate to severe Autism and challenging behaviour.

- Specialist Autism Teacher- Available- Immediate start- Full-Time position
- Long term position until the end of the school year with potential to go permanent
- Supporting/Training Class Teachers to effectively Plan for/ Teach and support students with Autism and Behavioural, Social & communication difficulties
-Supportive SEN/mainstream school
-Starting Immediately/January - Negotiable salary

Person Specification- Specialist Autism Teacher-Non-Classroom based

An ideal Specialist Autism Teacher will be;
•A creative and experienced ASD specialist Teacher who is fully qualified who has a strong background in Teaching ASD experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role
• The ideal Specialist Autism Teacher should be able to deal with unfamiliar and challenging situations in a rational and collected manner.
•We want to meet a Specialist Autism Teacher who can ignite a passion for learning within their pupils and encourage them to use their full potential
