Are you an experienced data professional with an interest in humanitarian causes? We are excited to be working with a wonderful charity that tackles poverty through volunteering. They are currently looking for a temporary Data Officer to join the Data & Insight team based in London. The post holder will work with internal and external clients to plan and implement data marketing and communication projects for the organisation. This will entail the use of Raiser's Edge queries and other data tools to accurately select and analyse supporter data. Responsibilities include elements of project management; working with internal and external clients to clearly define the data requirement, steering the data briefing process as and when required, so that the data selection process is as transparent as possible. You will also be responsible for the effective and accurate selection and segmentation of data, including the creation of import and export routines using Raiser's Edge and other data tools. Other duties include ensuring selected data is compliant with data protection laws, along with providing colleagues with the relevant information to perform effective analysis of marketing activities. To be successful, you must have working knowledge of data protection laws and experience of running data selections that are compliant to those laws and organisational data policies. You must have substantial experience producing complex and segmented data extracts from Raiser's Edge queries or using SQL. It is essential you have experience as an internal supplier to direct marketing or fundraising teams and have led/coordinated on data selection projects and activities involving multiple teams and differing time lines. You must also have an understanding of direct marketing techniques and audience segmentation with a history of successfully applying these principals to a variety of marketing activities.
